Blackpool continued their woeful season when they were heavily defeated at home by Old Bedians without actually scoring themselves.

Again, as early as the 1st minute Blackpool were behind when they conceded a converted try.

The scoring by the visitors continued throughout the 1st half apart from a brief spell when Blackpool strung together some moves of their own; mainly from the pack that were not overawed by the opposition.

Unfortunately this good work by the forwards was not converted into points by an again makeshift set of backs who hadn't played together before this game.

The halftime whistle sounded with the home side being 33-0 down and tiring rapidly.

The second half started the same as the first when Blackpool conceded yet another try within one minute of the restart.

This time the scoring continued apace with the final score being 73-0 in favour of Old Bedians.

What can be said about a dismal Blackpool side? The forwards held their own and at some stages of the game they were pushing their opposite numbers around.

The backs were unfortunately not up to the standard expected of a North Lancs one side. They appeared to have no game plan at all and the defence was in some cases non-existent. Player/coach Phil raw pleaded with his side after the match to come down training as it was seen as the only way that Blackpool are going to get out of this dilemma.

Blackpool are still looking for additional players and all interested are urged to come along to the training sessions held on a Tuesday and Thursday evening when they will be assured of a very warm welcome.
