Blackpool's reply initially went quite well but then as the target approached wickets began to fall as Simm took 4-37 and Blackpool finished seven runs short of the Kendal total, being bowled out for 160. Adam Parker made 41, Luis Reece 38, Justin Kreusch and Stephen Croft 22 each while David Newton nearly won the game for his side with a late 23 not out.
