Blackpool athlete Shelly Woods said she was disappointed after only finishing third in Sunday's Flora London Marathon.
The Fylde wheelchair racer suffered a puncture after just three miles and couldn't replace the tyre until after 20 miles.
The women's wheelchair race was won by Sandra Graf of Switzerland in a record time of 1hr, 48mins, 05secs.
Woods finished third in 2:01.59, her slowest London Marathon since 2006.
Woods said: "I was feeling good for a quick time but got a puncture at three miles.
"This made it very hard to hold on to the others and I couldn't change the tyre until 20 miles.
"I anticipate racing against Sandra and Amanda in Switzerland soon and hope I don't puncture then."
