CRICKET action to watch locally this weekend features the second teams of our two main clubs with Netherfield First XI travelling to Fleetwood for a top of the table clash in the Northern Premier League on Saturday (1pm), and it being Kendal's turn to be without a fixture because of the odd number of teams in the league this season. Group matches in the Thwaites Smooth Beer Cup continue on Sunday with both teams again out of town. Kendal are at Leyland Motors and Netherfield at Blackpool (2pm start), but the respective second teams are at home in the Second Division Cup.
The Endmoor Village 10k takes place on Wednesday, starting from the village hall at 7.30pm.
