IT’S A MOMENTOUS day for English rugby Saturday with the Rugby World Cup taking place in Sydney, but whatever the outcome Kendal RUFC First XV will be off to face Darlington in National League 3 later in the day.
Kendal Rugby Union Club opens its doors on Saturday from 8.30am for anyone wanting to watch the televised final at the club and have a 'Westmorland' breakfast for £4, while Kendal Cricket Club, which has a big screen, is also open from 8.45am.
The coach leaves Kendal Cricket Club at 11.30, picking up at the rugby club on the way, for a 3pm kick-off.
Steve Healey (Achillies) and Mike Capstick (elbow) have both passed fitness tests and are included in the starting line-up. Winger Chris Park is unavailable because of holidays.
