THE body of a diver has been recovered from a Cumbrian lake following a 12 hour search.
Wayne Rowbotham, of Thornton Cleveleys in Lancashire, was reported missing after he failed to resurface during a diving outing with friends in Wast Water.
The 40 year-old was found on Sunday morning by a North West police diving unit.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said Mr Rowbotham’s family had been informed and that an inquest would be opened shortly.
He added that there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
