Thornton car blaze spreads to house

A car on a driveway went up in flames in Thornton this morning with the fire spreading to parts of the house as well.

Fire crews were called to Coniston Avenue in the town just before 4am and found a car well alight.

Three fire crews attended as the blaze spread, completely destroying the car and the porch way, damaging a kitchen door and leaving the rest of the house heavily smoke logged.
