People suffering sickness and diarrhoea are being urged not to visit Blackpool Victoria Hospital after a highly contagious virus struck over 50 patients.
Six wards have restricted admissions after the Norwalk virus outbreak which has affected 55 patients and a small number' of members of staff.
The virus is extremely common, especially at this time of year.
Experts have advised that any visitors who have family members with diarrhea or vomiting should avoid visiting the hospital until they have been clear of symptoms for 48 hours.
