A charitable trust, set up to honour tragic eight-year-old Lytham boy, Joshua Aldred, has raised a massive £10,000 at it first event.
Joshua, who died in June after struggling to cope with the loss of his mother Sarah, who died in March and his grandfather John, who passed away in September last year.
A gala dinner, held at the Island in St Annes, with a champagne reception, buffet, disco and auction saw 250 attendees raise the sum.
Items in the auction included a Manchester United signed football, who were the youngster’s favourite team.
The trust will split its funds between cancer charities and youth groups in Lytham.
