A robber who took a filling station worker’s pay packet after stealing from the till is being sought by police.
The man struck at the BP service station,Church Road, St Annes, at 7pm on Monday.
He approached the lone female worker with his jacket over his hand , as if concealing a weapon before accessing the counter area and taking around £160 from the till.
He then demanded money from the assistant in a threatening manner, leading her to hand over her wages.
The raider was then chased from the premises towards Albert Road by a customer who entered the shop.
Police describe the suspect as white, slim, 5ft 10in tall and around 25-years-old.
He was wearing grey sweatshirt and black tracksuit bottoms.
