A man known to have friends in the Blackpool area is being sought by police in connection with the murder of a 29-year-old man.
Detectives in Lancashire have taken the unusual step of naming Craig Anthony Cosgrove as the person they wish to speak to in connection with a murder investigation in Darwen, near Blackburn.
Police believe Mr Cosgrove, 33, could be in the Blackpool area and are urging people to call them if they know of his whereabouts.
Police want to speak to Mr Cosgrove in connection with the fatal stabbing of Steven Taylor, on Saturday, August 18.
A Darwen man, Rodney Elliott Kay, 37, of Rose Street, has already been charged with murder.
Detective superintendent Mick Gradwell said: "I am appealing to people for information about the whereabouts of Craig Cosgrove.
"I wish to speak to Mr Cosgrove in connection with the death of Steven Taylor.
"We understand that he could be in the following areas, Blackpool, Manchester, Cumbria and Scotland, as he has known friends and associates there."
Mr Cosgrove is described as white, 6ft tall, heavy build, Scottish accent, dark brown hair with numerous tattoos on both arms.
Det Supt Gradwell added: "If anyone has information about Mr Cosgrove's location, he should not be approached, they can contact police on 01254 51212 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111."
