Jane Watson, Communications and Marketing Manager for the National Trust
“For me the decision about organ donation was really simple. I have a friend who has been waiting for years for a new lung. Time is running out for him and he’s already had the agony of several ‘false alarms’ where the donor was sadly incompatible with him. If I die prematurely how great would it be to have been able to change someone’s life, or even better, change a few people’s lives? I’ve signed up to donate various organs when I die. What better legacy could you leave, and how many families would that gift touch?”
If you want to sign up to donate your organs, go to www.organdonation.nhs.uk or telephone 0300 1232323.
