POLICE launched a large-scale ground and air search after a patient sectioned under the mental health act went missing from Westmorland General Hospital at Kendal. Dog handlers and police scoured the area surrounding the hospital for six-and-a-half hours on Monday night after being alerted to the missing Kendal man at 8pm. The 41-year-old man was found by police at 2.30am.
