SIR, I also found human excrement outside the locked doors of the toilets. To prove the seriousness of this I photographed this and sent copies to our councillors. However, the response was the same: "We do not have the money to keep the toilets open".

This is a real crisis. You cannot possibly have a coach and car park with up to 600 people arriving at any one time, without offering toilet facilities.

I live just across the road and can see from my window a continual stream of people walking towards the toilets only to find them closed. Many of these people have travelled for two or three hours and must have a toilet at their arrival point, especially the elderly and disabled. It is not one blind bit of good telling them that there are other toilets 10 minutes away.

I have a shop just opposite the coach park and over the Christmas period we had people virtually begging us to use our

toilet. People ask us every single day why the toilets on the coach park are closed.

I believe the coach park and toilets are governed by several bodies who all have their fingers in the pie. It is about time they all got together and handed the whole operation to one body, who could then use the money taken from the pay machines to run the whole operation.
