A Local Plan inquiry is to be held after South Lakeland District Council received over 1,000 objections from opponents to a site off Burton Road, Kendal, being allocated as employment land.
Councillors will hear at a full meeting of South Lakeland District Council next Tuesday that there were 1,063 objections and a 441-signature petition had been submitted by an opposition group.
