PLANS to expand a South Lakeland golf course have been backed by town councillors.
This week Grange Town Council heard how Grange-over-Sands Golf Club had submitted plans to turn more than three hectares of land next to the course into new fairways.
Coun Peter Jackson said plans to transform the triangular field in to a green could enhance the appearance of the area.
Members recommended the scheme for approval.
