CALLING all babes, kittens and honeyz, its time to make some noise in the forest.
As part of Grizedale Art's Grizedale Live festival this year the venue is laying on a road show complete with a battle of the bands competition at each destination.
And for the local leg of the road show the programme will focus on girl bands.
The battle itself will take place at Grizedale theatre on May 24 and for all selected bands there will be a prize set of black-and-white photographs of their group, taken by a top photographer. The winning performers will also receive £100.
An overall winner will be chosen from all the regions on the road show. The group will win an extra £100 and a music video by a contemporary artist plus photographs.
So girls get your demos in order at least three songs and send them to Battle of the Bands, Grizedale Arts, Grizedale, Ambleside, by March 31. Include a picture if possible.
