TAFFY Thomas runs The Art of Storytelling, at Tullie House, Carlisle, tomorrow (Saturday) featuring a workshop from 11am-1pm, where Taffy will share his considerable yarn-spinning skills with young people aged eight-plus and adults.
Not only will he be recounting a few of his favourite tales to help those storytelling juices flow, he will also encourage potential storytellers to swap stories and make up impossible tales teaching how to tell stories in convincing and entertaining ways.
In addition, Taffy will stage Favourite Tales from the Tale-Coat - a special performance (2pm-3.30pm) when the master storyteller himself dons his specially handcrafted, magical Tale Coat so children and adults alike can find interesting pictures on the coat and request a story of their choice.
Tickets for the morning's workshop are £7.50 (£6.50/£5 concessions); for the afternoon's performance £4 (£3/£2 concessions)
To book contact the museum's reception desk or telephone 01228-534664.
