PHIL Skillern, an ex Scottish Exiles player, is added to the Kendal squad to face Sedgley Park at Mint Bridge on Saturday.
The match, which was postponed on January 11 because of frost, kicks off at 2pm to allow spectators to avoid clashing with the England v France international, which is to be televised live on the BBC.
Cockermouth-based Skillern, an openside flanker, trained pre-season with Kendal and was registered with the club, but has been in the Spanish first division. After a run-out in the second team last week he is named on the replacements' bench for the Sedgley match.
Young prop Dan Bowles is due to play a Cumbria representative match on Sunday, so Nigel Pearson comes into the front row in the only change to the starting line-up. Second-row Mike Capstick is on holiday Down Under.
Team: S. Healey, J. Balmer, M. Armstrong, I. Voortman, L. Ladell, M. Scott, J. Hadwin, M. Pearson, I. Gowing, I. Thompson, K. Robinson, A. Hudson, C. Wolstenholme, M. Bowman, A. Bateson.
Replacements: D. Green, P. Skillern, D. Preston, D. Jijana.
The match is sponsored by the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, Little Landgale.
