UNDERGROUND tourist attraction Rheged, near Penrith, has welcomed its millionth visitor.
The Pollard family were from Hersham in Surrey and Duntish in Dorset, and they were enjoying an Easter holiday in a cottage at Glenridding.
Managing director Rob Randell gave the family a hamper of fine food and gifts and a signed, first edition copy of Sir Chris Bonington's latest book, Everest, to celebrate the golden jubilee of the first ascent of Everest.
