AS PROMISED, here are a couple of photos from last month's sell out fashion show at The Old England Hotel, in Bowness.

Apologies to all those who were not able to get tickets due to it being a sell out early on. (We are in secret meetings right now, planning an even bigger style-challenge night!)

The clothes and accessories worn from The Earth Collection and from the spring/summer collection at Lakeland were well received. Thanks to Jo Smythe, owner of Earth Collection, and Alison Irvin, at Lakeland.

Alison, along with Emma Rumbles, showed off the range from Lakeland, joining models David Hill, Mike Crawford, Sylvia Harris, Claire Landon, Claire Siddons and Ross from Aqua who modelled the clothes for Earth Collection.

The flowers, supplied by Brackens of Bowness, were equally well received (gorgeous glass cubes filled with the natural-looking flowers, put together to great effect - a very impressive florist).

Jill Clarke, from Aqua, kept everyone on the edge of their seats as she showed the latest face mask - it may have looked green and gruesome but boy did it work! Her model looked positively radiant when she reappeared minus the cake.

I joined Stewart Hart, owner of Aqua hair and beauty salon, Bowness, who showed the latest in fabulous up-to-date hair styles and colour techniques, and Gareth Lambert, from George Banks Jewellers, Bowness, who adorned models with the most delicious designer works of art from their latest collections.

The boys did well putting the show together in a short time, all in the name of charity. Hats off to them and Jo Smythe, along with all their helpers, for raising a tremendous amount for the Cumbrian Aids Help Line.

Here's to our next event. LH
