At once terrifying and thrilling, many would consider a parachute jump to be the experience of a lifetime.

The National Kidney Research Fund are offering people across the UK the opportunity to take up this challenge, at no cost, as long as a minimum of £340 is raised in sponsorship.

The jumps take place throughout the year, and it is up to you when you choose to do it. There are two types of jump available; either the 10,000 feet Tandem Skydive', where you are attached to a professional instructor, or a 3,000 feet Static Line' jump, which is performed solo. You can jump from any one of 25 British Parachute Association approved airfields across the UK. No experience is necessary, as professional instructors will provide full training.

Nicola Downes, Community Fundraising Manager, said; "Taking part in a parachute jump is truly the experience of a lifetime, and is something many people would like to do, but never get around to organising. This way it is all arranged for you it couldn't be easier."

With the money raised, the Fund will be able to continue to fund research that focuses on the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease. The Fund also focuses its attention on patient care and educational initiatives.
