SERIAL killer Peter Sutcliffe's visit to Arnside cost taxpayers more than £2,000, it emerged this week.
Home Office Minister Paul Goggins told the House of Commons that four prison guards who accompanied the Yorkshire Ripper from his top security Broadmoor hospital cell cost £1,800.
Two Cumbria police officers who took part in the operation cost a further £450.
