RAIL passengers are going to have to cough-up for parking at Ulverston, Grange-over-Sands and Carnforth stations for the first time.
Furness line operators First Transpennine Express have installed ticket machines charging a £2 daily fee Monday to Friday and £1 at weekends.
A company spokesman said the charge would bring consistency to its car parks and help pay for safety and security improvements like CCTV.
