PROPOSALS have been put forward to create a 43-bedroom Travelodge hotel next to Prizet Filling Station at Helsington on the southern outskirts of Kendal.
The plans for the two-storey hotel, submitted to South Lakeland District Council, also include proposals for car parking and landscaping. The principal planner for Leeds-based Hepher Dixon, Natasha Rowland, said the scheme would create six jobs.
The hotel would be on the northbound side of the A591.
