THE National Trust has closed the bridge over Lingmell Beck at the head of Wasdale due to serious health and safety concerns.
The Wasdale Lake Head Pay and Display car park on the far side of the bridge has also been closed and any campers wanting to access the National Trust Wasdale campsite can do via the bridge on foot.
The usual public car park at Wasdale Head remains open, as does the National Trust's Overbeck car park.
