Robert Martin (my grandfather) was born in Scotland but migrated to Windermere. He was married to Lizzie, they had children Jessie, Robina, (known as Beenie) Gilbert, and Enid who married Lance and had two daughters who I remember playing with when I was a child, they would be about sixty now.
Robert who had worked at "Cringlemire House" as a gardener, died in 1947, at 2, Alexandra Road Windermere.
