TWO waterskiers have received fines after admitting to offences committed while skiing on Lake Windermere this summer.
Gavin Collinson, 29, of, Thirlstone, Middlesbrough, pleaded guilty in writing to South Lakeland Magistrates Court to towing a waterskier without two competent persons in the powerboat on August 22.
He also admitted to towing a waterskier without an observation mirror on the vessel.
Kieran Ellerton, 24, of Lake Lock Road, Wakefield, also pleaded guilty in writing to aiding and abetting Collinson although, in mitigation, he said that it was the first time he had ever been waterskiing and he was unaware of the law.
Collinson was fined £200 and ordered to pay £35 costs while Ellerton was fined £100 and ordered to pay £35 costs.
