I AM a researcher based in Northumberland attempting to locate and document WWII aircraft crash sites in our region.
I am trying to locate relatives of a pilot killed in an accident near Alnwick on January 13, 1945. His name was Flt Sgt Roger William Hall DFC, aged 28, of Lancaster, killed when his Typhoon fighter crashed onto moorland.
I have only brief information regarding his family. Roger was married to Stella Margaret Hall and his parents were John William and Constance Isabel Hall of Lancaster.
I would like to hear from anyone who is related, or has information regarding this airman, in an effort to learn more of his RAF career and obtain copies of any photographs of him.
