AMAZING! After at least 40 years of debate the local and county councils have settled on the original Northern route for a Lancaster by-pass.
Back in 1966 I was a horticultural student at Morecambe College on the then derelict field opposite Macdonald's. We practiced tractor skills there are were told it didn't matter if we made a mess because it was going to be the exit for the new road.
So why all the delays just to return to the original plan? Now I hear we could have a 2008 start on building 2080 more likely.
