LANCASTER'S MP has vowed to fight to keep cash flowing into the city.
Hilton Dawson MP says despite losing the Western bypass, the future of the city's Luneside develop-ment is still bright.
And he is warning Morecambe MP Geraldine Smith not to try and divert grants from Luneside to projects in Heysham.
He says if she carries on complaining that the Lancaster Business Park is a waste of money it will be bad for the whole area.
"The most likely result would be that vital funding would be lost to the District," he claims.
"I have suggested a consultation on the future of Luneside. However, there is absolutely no doubt that this important area has a sustainable economic future and it will need every penny of outside funding.
The MP says he will be pleased to help Ms Smith to lobby for extra funding to benefit the area.
