Prizes for the first Westmorland Gazette and Word Market E Short Story and Poetry competition include a web site, book store gift certificates, training on using the Internet and marketing your works, and one year free membership to Word Market.
The deadline for entries is September 20. The winning short story and poem will be featured on www.thisisthelakedistrict.co.uk and www.word-market.co.uk .
They will also be announced and show cased at Word Market's annual Word Party in Ulverston in October.
