I WELCOME Cllr Janet Horner's support for Greaves Park Nursery School (Letters, last week). However it would be better to avoid the bitter fight she suggests is needed.
Cllr Horner's Labour Party colleagues should get together and discuss withdrawing their closure plan. That way, when children start nursery in September, parents can be assured that education will not be disrupted.
It is clear that if the proposals are not withdrawn parents will run a long and effective campaign, but in whose interests is it to force them to do so?
