A LANCASTER-based theatre company will launch its latest spring tour with two performances in the city next week.
Freehold Theatre Company will open its tour of Terry Johnson's Hysteria generally regarded as one of the best plays written in the 1990s at the Gregson Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 2 and 3.
Hysteria, first performed in 1993, won the Laurence Olivier Award for best comedy and cemented Terry Johnson's reputation as a writer of unusual quality.
But be warned it contains some adult subject matter.
Founded in 1995 and based in Lancaster, Freehold have built up a strong reputation for touring innovative, quality productions of modern classic plays to theatre and arts centres across the North West.
Performances at the Gregson Centre, Moorgate, begin at 7.30pm. Details are from 01524-849959.
* Hysteria will also be staged at The Grand Theatre, St Leonardgate, later in the tour. Freehold return to Lancaster on Wednesday and Thursday, April 7 and 8.
