A PERSON was taken to hospital after construction materials fell on them.
Fire crews from Milnthorpe, Kendal and Ulverston all responded to the incident in Grange.
The individual was reported to have been trapped underneath a crate of roofing slate that had fallen off a set of scaffolding.
The casualty was subsequently released by the fire crews and handed over to a team from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), with crews then returning to their home stations.
Firefighters from Milnthorpe were called to be on standby for duties at Kendal Fire Station for a separate incident on Saturday, but were later stood down upon arrival.
