Westmorland and Furness Council confirmed this was happening so that Printfest could take place and apologised for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.

The council has been conducting a detailed assessment to explore various options to reinstate a permanent library service in Ulverston.

Councillor Michelle Scrogham said: "I'm also delighted to see Printfest return. I'm definitely not delighted that we're without a library for the duration."

Printfest, regarded as the UK’s leading artist-led festival, will give visitors the chance to meet artists, explore exhibitions and try their hand at new skills.
