CUMBRIA roads police have warned drivers to check their tyres after a car was written off in the county this week.
Yesterday, April 3 Cumbria Road police reported they had attended the incident which saw the car written off after it hit a patch of standing water with a low tyre tred.
In a statement on social media, Cumbria Roads Police & Firearms Support Unit said: "Both rear tyres were MoT advisories at 1.6mm 2 months ago, 2 more months of wear and a patch of standing water has likely brought this car’s life to an end
"Fortunately the only injuries from this RTC were to metal, plastic and maybe pride. Driver reported."
