The date BBC's Ambulance series featuring paramedics from South Cumbria returns has been revealed.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust teamed up with documentary makers Dragonfly Film and Television Productions to give a behind-the-scenes look at the crucial work of the 999 service.
The new series features ambulance crew members from South Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
The BAFTA-winning programme is one of the BBC’s most successful prime-time shows with around four million viewers per episode.
South Cumbrian crew mates Nutan and Lisa featured in 2021 and attended a 999 call for a patient in cardiac arrest. They also worked with the area’s mental health triage car which is staffed by paramedics, police, and mental health services, offering support to those in acute psychological distress.
Crewmates, Josh and Josh also attended a serious RTC and joined by advanced paramedic, Vinny. The team arrived to find two patients who need urgent treatment.
The new series airs tomorrow on Thursday August 24 at 9pm, BBC One.
