A YOUNG man from North Lancashire has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a car accident near Lancaster.
One car left the A683 Caton Road, about one mile from Lancaster, at 11.30pm last night, and collided with a tree.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "One local young man has been taken to the Lancaster Royal Infirmary with serious head injuries."
The identity and age of the injured man has not yet been determined.
Police reported minor congestion at the scene this morning as part of the road was closed off for police investigators to gather evidence.
