CAMPAIGNERS are seeking a law change to stop more properties being snapped up as holiday lets and second homes.
Members of the Lakes Parish Council want Government legislation put in place to prevent communities within South Lakeland becoming unsustainable because of a part-time population.
This week, their cause gained support from the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) - along with a warning the issue could prompt a lengthy legal process to produce any results.
Lakes Parish Council chairman Leslie Johnson told a meeting of LDNPA members that the loss of residential accommodation was a serious problem.
