A THREE car pile-up occurred when a motorist stopped for ducks crossing an Eden road.
The incident, at around 11am this morning, resulted in the westbound carriageway of the A66 near Temple Sowerby being blocked for an hour.
The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat being driven by a 42-year-old Glaswegian man, a Landrover Defender driven by a 57-year-old man from Appleby and a Peugeot van, which was being driven by a 44-year-old man from Stainton.
All three men escaped injury.
