MOUNTAIN rescuers went to the aid of a walker who had suffered a panic attack while walking down Dungeon Ghyll in the Langdale Valley yesterday afternoon.
Fourteen members of the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team found the 40-year-old from Leatherhead, Surrey, on the path above Dungeon Ghyll with a companion.
Both were uninjured and with gentle persuasion were convinced to continue walking with assistance from members of the mountain rescue team.
They were escorted all the way back to the valley and re-united with the leader of their walking party and an incoming taxi.
