PEOPLE across Cumbria are being invited to have their say on the future site of waste and minerals facilities in the county.
Cumbria County Council is in the process of drawing-up a Minerals and Waste Development Framework (MWDF) which identifies locations around the county which might potentially be developed for minerals or waste facilities.
As part of the process, which aims to minimise the environmental impact of such facilities, CCC is about to undergo a second public consultation exercise with special surgery sessions being held at Kendal Library on March 21, and Dalton-in-Furness Library and Askam-in-Furness Library on March 26. The draft MWDF can be viewed online at www.cumbria.gov.uk.
