A MAN suffered minor cuts to his head after his wagon overturned and spilled 15 tonnes of oatmeal near the M6.

Police said the incident happened at around 10.20pm on Thursday (March 15) on the roundabout at junction 36. A mini digger was sent to the scene to recover the load.

The driver, a 43-year-old man from Whitehaven, was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and the wreckage was cleared by 5.40am on Friday (March 16).
