A WEEK to celebrate the best of the Lake District's farm shops went off with a 'banger' after curious members of the public were kept entertained with a demonstration of sausage-making skills.
A dozen businesses from throughout the county, calling themselves The Natural Producers and supported by the North West Farm Tourism Initiative, have put on a variety of events to mark Cumbrian Farm Shop week from March 12 to March 19.
The week aims to give town dwellers a true taste of the Cumbrian countryside and win over the hearts of food lovers everywhere by highlighting what local producers have to offer.
