A GRANGE town councillor has warned that a bid for funding for the 3Ps project must be submitted soon or it could miss out entirely on the cash.
The scheme - part of the proposed £6 million facelift for the town entitled the Time and Tide project - would give the Grange's Edwardian promenade a facelift, revitalise the derelict Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool and provide public art in the area.
But concerns have now been raised over the timing of an application for potential funding for the scheme.
Coun Ron Shapland, chairman of the group, said delaying the bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund past the autumn would be futile as priority was then likely to be given to projects associated with the forthcoming Olympics, to be held in London, in 2012.
