CUMBRIA Police are treating the death of a man whose body was recovered from Derwent Water as non-suspicious following a post mortem examination carried out today (Thursday).
The man's body was found last Thursday (February 22) and police believe that it was in the water for a minimum of two weeks, although the post mortem examination failed to establish the cause of death.
Police said the man was white, approximately 5' 11", aged between 45 and 65-years-old and did not have any visible scars, tattoos or injuries to the body.
He was found wearing a blue Rohan jacket, red-brown Rohan trousers, a pink long-sleeved shirt and a pair of glasses.
A key ring with an inscription reading I love dad' was also found with his body.
Anyone with information about any person fitting the description who has either been reported missing or has not been seen for a number of weeks should contact DS 175 Gidney at Workington Police or PC 57 John Shaw at Keswick Police on 0845-33-00-247.
