FURNESS Music Centre is holding an open week- end featuring free music workshops and performances from its talented orchestra, choir and chamber ensembles.
The centre, based at Dowdales School in Dalton-in-Furness, will open its doors tomorrow (Saturday, March 3) from 9am to 2.30pm when visitors will have the opportunity to speak to tutors and members and enjoy live music and refreshments.
A free Chamber Music Workshop led by disting-uished musicians from across the country is also being held on Sunday (March 4) from 11am to 5pm, culminating in a performance by the tutors at 4.30pm in The Muse at Dowdales School.
And a Beatle Mania concert night is taking place at the school on Wednesday, March 21, at 7pm. Tickets are available on the door.
