A Bispham pub landlord who contracted legionnaires' disease while on holiday, has died.
Michael Diveney, who was the licensee of the Bispham Hotel, Red Bank Road, became ill earlier this month after returning from a family break at the Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, Egypt.
Mr Diveney, 57, who ran the pub along with wife Susan for the last two years, died in Blackpool's Victoria Hospital on Saturday.
The couple have five grown-up children between them.
He was admitted ten days earlier after symptoms which appeared during the holiday failed to improve.
Legionnaires is a virus which is in most cases spread from contaminated water systems, particularly air conditioning.
The majority of cases seen in the UK are contracted overseas.
