AS ALT-ROCKERS Call of Duty limber up to launch a new EP they prepare to plug their new material at The Park.

The Grange grungers, whose single Honour received Stateside airplay when it became a hit with a university radio station, hope to release their latest offering Miss Tomorrow at Easter.

However, for those who can't wait until then the four-piece will be testing out their new material at the Evolved Addict night at The Park, Kendal, on February 18.

Formed in July 2003, Call of Duty are: Martin Thompson, guitar; Richard Todhunter, drums; Joseph Meacock, guitar and vocals; and Andrew Slater, bass and vocals.

Describing their music as alternative rock', guitarist Martin said listeners could expect a more finished sound from the impending EP, which was mastered by man behind the Sounds of the Northwest CD Dave Martindale.

"We're really pleased with Miss Tomorrow, it's a lot more polished than our older stuff," said Martin.

The band are set to go back into the studio with Tom Tyson at Workington's Music Farm and lay down more tracks.

"Hopefully, we'll be recording a lot more tracks soon and we'll get our album out some time this year," added Martin.

You can catch Call of Duty on the following dates: Feb 5, Monroe's Bar, Workington; Feb 6, Dickie Doodles, Kendal; Feb 18, The Park, Kendal; Feb 25, The Grand Prix Club, Brough; and March 11, The Winnington Rec, Northwich.
